Director: Daniel Prunty LLB (Hons), MAcc, CPA, RCA, Registered SMSF Auditor
Daniel has a background of investigation and evidence gathering in the UK. Having moved to Australia in 2002 he graduated with Bachelor of Laws (honours) and Masters of Accounting from Bond University. He started his career as an auditor in 2006 and has experience across a range of financial reporting and compliance frameworks. Daniel is both a Registered Company Auditor and a Registered SMSF Auditor and has a well-deserved reputation for a knowledgeable and common-sense approach to audit. Daniel has developed a number of technical papers on the subject of audit and has delivered presentations for CPA, IPA and Television Education Network.
Consultant: Sharlene Anderson BBus (Hons) CA, RCA, Registered SMSF Auditor
Sharlene is a Registered Company Auditor and has significant experience auditing across various legislative frameworks, and is known for her practical approach. Sharlene has acted as a Quality Assurance Reviewer for CPA Australia. Sharlene also regularly acts as a speaker for CPA, CAANZ, IPA, and Television Education Network. Sharlene has provided consulting services for both the ATO and ASIC.
Our History
In 2009 Sharlene Anderson established Veritas Corporation to provide specialised audit, assurance, training and forensic accounting services. Daniel Prunty joined Veritas Corporation as Audit Manager in 2012. In 2018 Veritas Corporation underwent a restructure and minor rebranding to clearly differentiate the audit and forensic accounting divisions. Veritas Corporation ceased to exist under the new structure and Veritas Audit and Veritas Forensics were established. As a result of these changes, audit engagements are now led by Daniel Prunty in Veritas Audit and our forensic engagements are led by Sharlene Anderson in Veritas Forensics. This restructure saw Daniel taking on the new position as Director Veritas Audit.
Veritas Audit is delighted to retain the services of Sharlene as a consultant and Daniel enjoys assisting Sharlene on large forensic engagements with Veritas Forensics.
